(This is a compilation of all the mini-assignments also linked after each module. You have a choice whether you want to send them in separately or all at once.)
- Mini-assignment 1: Recording (You will do this mini-assignment in Audacity)
Before you get started, print the following page and keep it handy as you complete the exercises.
- Minimize this window and open Audacity: Start> Program> Audacity
- Record a sound file
- Listen to it to make sure it worked.
- Save it to the desktop:
- File> Save Project
- Browse to the Audacity desktop folder
- Click Ok when the "Warning" window opens
- Name the file your_name_one (exp: Smith_one)
- Email assignment to: Edwige.Simon@colorado.edu
Subject: FLTP Credit- Audacity: Recording
- Mini-assignment 2: Editing(You will do this mini-assignment in Audacity)
- Download this file to your desktop (right-click and choose Save Link As or Save Target As)
- Open it with Audacity: (File > Open)
- Listen to the file. You will notice that the questions and the answers are jumbled. Match the questions and the answers
- Remove (delete) the question with no answer.
- Save the file.

- Mini-assignment 3: Tempo (You will do this mini-assignment in Audacity)
- Download this file to your desktop (right-click and choose Save Link As or Save Target As).
- Listen to it.
- Slow down the tempo of the file.
- Listen to it again to make sure that the pace is now appropriate.
- Save the file to your desktop.
